Fairway is selling a fabulous new green olive imported from Spain's Baja Aragon that has been brined with anchovies so that while it looks like just another plain olive, it has an added complex taste. Light green and round, these olives are medium-sized and meaty. How they're flavored is a mystery because there are no anchovy bits, just olives.
Sold in the olive department where you scoop what you want from a barrel. $5.99 a pound. They're usually in stock but occasionally get sold out. Be patient. They'll be back.
