Chef Sara Jenkins, along with food editor Mindy Fox, have just published a winning new cookbook, Olives & Oranges, which celebrates the home cooking of countries that rim the Mediterranean Sea -- Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Lebanon, and other places with rich food traditions.
On Saturday, September 13, Chef Jenkins will lead a full day of buying fresh ingredients and hands-on cooking, hosted by The Astor Center and held in their professional teaching kitchens. "Bounty of the Greenmarket: Hands-On Cooking & Walking Tour" will be a day spent learning how to buy fresh produce and then creating an Italian meal.
