Costco is a great place to shop IF --
- You have a car.
- You need a lot of something. Perhaps you're holding a big party and want to make large quantities of chicken. That kind of thing.
- You're willing to buy what they have instead of expecting to get what you want.
- You can join up with other city cooks to buy large and divide up large quantities.
Otherwise, you are probably better off shopping in one of the city's smaller, city cook-sized markets.
What to know: You must purchase an annual membership to shop at Costco so factor this cost into the value of the groceries you buy.
