This busy and well-stocked market sells grocery items from Egypt, other parts of north Africa, and the Middle East. 

What's Great:  The shop, run by an Egyptian family, has a huge selection of spices, canned and jarred foods, pastas and rices, cured meats and cheeses, and dried fruits and legumes.  At the rear of the store is a halal butcher shop with meats and poultry, including goat cut to order.

What to Know:  The front of the store has a tempting selection of perfumes and oils and scents can be custom mixed.  The store is easy to visit as it's at a busy intersection of Atlantic Avenue that's served by many subway lines.
