For four generations, Alleva Dairy has been owned and managed by the same family of Italian food merchants.  Today it remains a wonderful and authentic Italian grocer despite the changes taking place in its Little Italy neighborhood.

What's great:

Fresh mozzarella (salted and unsalted), fresh ricotta, salamis and soppresatas, fresh baked prosciutto bread, and perfect Italian cheeses including provolone and pecorino sardo.

What to know:

They sell an excellent selection of grocery items like grossini (bread sticks), pasta and olive oils.
