Dorian's Seafood Market

Upper East Side
1580 York Ave.
at E. 83rd St.

P: 212.535.2256

An excellent fish monger serving the Upper East Side/Yorkville/East End Avenue neighborhoods with superior quality fish and shellfish and a commitment to customer service.

What's great:
Their fresh whole and filleted fish are top quality and can be cut to your specifications.  They offer a full selection of shellfish (shrimp, lobster, crab, scallops, oysters, clams and mussels) plus smoked fish and caviar.  If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll gladly work with you on a special order.

They will pack your fish in ice so that you can safely transport it, plus they offer free delivery to their service area.

What to know:
This shop was born of the legacy of The Rosedale Fish Market, which had been on Lexington and 78th Street for 98 years.  When the owner died in 2001 and the shop was closed, Dorian Mecir, who had worked at Rosedale, opened her own store, soon joined by filet man Angel Cruz, a 35-year veteran of Rosedale, Chef Pedro Castelan, who had worked there for 25 years, and a crowd of loyal Rosedale customers.

Today Dorian's continues the Rosedale tradition of excellence and service, including making more than 100 deliveries a day by bicycle.
