Old fashioned and authentic Italian bakery and café that predates Williamsburg's trendiness.  On any afternoon you can still find several nonnas treating their grandchildren to gelati and cookies

What's great:

A huge selection of traditional Italian cookies and pastries, including pignoli cookies, canoli, and ricotta cheesecake.  There is also a large choice of gelati and spumoni to eat there or take-out plus traditional Italian sweets like Baci chocolates and pastel-colored Jordan almonds.

What to know:

They make custom birthday cakes and wedding cakes.  The pastry shop also has a large café with table service where you can sit and enjoy a cappuccino along with your canoli and eavesdrop on nearby conversations and hear the neighborhood gossip.
