Oak & Steel is a new fine wine and spirits store that's a welcomed addition to the recently upgraded neighborhood surrounding Columbus Circle in midtown Manhattan.

What's great:

A beautiful interior with dark wood shelving, warm lighting, and a coppery tile floor is the first sign of the care and detail that shows in all aspects of this wine merchant. Many of the sales staff are past or present sommeliers in some of the city's best restaurants and love to work with customers in matching wines to food.

Many of the wines are from small producers, as are some of the special spirits including Cognac and Armagnac. Wines are at all price points and there is a large selection of organic wines.

They always have bottles open for tastings.
